How to check last cloud backup for an unresponsive iPad

My iPad died...like it won't charge and won't charge enough to see what happened. It is an older model. I want to know how I can find out the last time I backed up my data to the cloud. Is there a way I can do that or do I have to "wait and see" when my new iPad arrives?

Assuming that you have an iPhone or another iPad signed-in to iCloud with same Apple Account credentials (AppleID), you can easily verify the date of the last backup for each of your devices.

From device settings:

Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > iCloud > iCloud Backup > [All Device Backups] - tap the name of the device to see the date of the Last Backup and the Backup Size.

Unfortunately, you can't access your iCloud backups by signing-in to iCloud from a web browser. While you can see how much of your available storage is used by all of your devices backups, you can't obtain details of the individual backups using this path.

You can log in to https://icloud.com with the Apple account, and it will show iCloud backups under "Your Storage" at the bottom of the page. It won't tell you when it was made though.

If you have another Apple device logged in to the same Apple account as the iPad, you can verify the available backups in Settings ➜ Account ➜ iCloud ➜ Manage ➜ Backups.
