for at least some months I haven’t been able to delete any apps. The only answer I found on here is that I should do something with the screen time but that is not the problem I have. I can’t delete the apps anywhere. When I hold them there just isn’t any button that says delete. Please help

It was indeed a screen time problem lmao. I had a screen time App installed and the app has a feature that doesn’t allow you to delete any apps when screen time is blocked. Thank you tho!
If it is not screen time: is your iPhone managed by a a school or a company? Then the policy might prohibit the deletion of apps
what happens if you tab and hold and choose edit home screen and then click the small - on the right top of the apps?
It’s because of screen time, your parent or restricted like from school or work has put Can’t Untistall apps.
