Hey guys , I just finished updating to iOS26 and i have seen that lots of recent messages within imessage got deleted , i need them ASAP !
what do i do now ?!

I'm not a professional but this worked for me… Go to settings… Then Apps... Then Messages. Then scroll halfway down to Text Message Filter and turn it ON. Then when you look your deleted messages should be there. It worked for me and I hope it works for you.

I just noticed the same. Some messages exchanged yesterday are gone. I updated to iOS 26 on Monday and I’m also on iPhone 15 pro.
PS... I had to first turn on Screen Unknown Senders before I could turn on Text Message Filter. The Screen Unknown Senders option is on the same screen as the Text Message Filter. It's confusing.
