Will an iPhone 17 Pro bought in the US work fully in Europe (Czech Republic)?

Hi,

I’m considering buying an iPhone 17 Pro for my wife in the United States, but I’ll be using it mainly in the Czech Republic.

  • Will it support all local LTE and 5G bands here in Europe?
  • Are there any limitations I should be aware of (e.g., eSIM-only, warranty coverage)?
  • Will I get the same battery performance and GPS functionality as with the European model?

I want to make sure I’ll have full functionality (calls, mobile data, Apple Pay, etc.) before deciding where to purchase.

Thanks in advance!

iPhone 17 Pro

The built in components have also to support your local LTE/5G carrier network.

There are different iPhone models for different regions:

iPhone - Supported 5G and LTE networks - Apple

And the warranty may be restricted by Apple to the country of purchase:

Legal - iOS Warranty Document Us - Apple

Plus, the iOS of your iPhone will always be the one for the country of purchase, this can not be changed. Available features are country specific.
