100% same. With glasses (I almost always wear glasses and never had Face ID problems prior to iOS 26) Face ID doesn’t work. Take them off and it works fine. Even more frustratingly I couldn’t reset Face ID cause stolen phone protection was on. In order to reset Face ID that has to be turned off. But to turn stolen phone protection off? Yep. Face ID is required.

Need FaceID to turn off stolen device protection or reset FaceID…and FaceID won’t work…it’s the most silly thing

Yes, it is really silly to protect your personal data when your iPhone is stolen. I get it. If you could turn off SDP without biometric identification it really couldn’t protect anything, because the thief could use the same way that you could disable it. Even after force restart or re-setting all settings, when I am trying to setup new Face ID or resetting it, it is showing Face ID not available.
I also tried after removing glass protector but issue still persist.
Does this problem solves after any patch update or it will remain forever.

It is a hardware problem, there is no software fix→If Face ID is disabled on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

How many electricians does it take to change a lightbulb?

Dont worry, the software guys can fix it.

I have also been reporting this and been gaslighted by bots saying no one else if having these issues.
did you ever find a fix for this error? I’m still experiencing it everyday. I can’t load another Face ID without an error, nor can I “reset Face ID” because it doesn’t allow me to click on that link.

The 2 most common reasons you will see the Reset Face ID button greyed out has nothing to do with iOS 26 and these are the same reasons seen on this Support Site with iOS 18:

  • Stolen Device Protection is Turned on - That will disallow you from resetting Face ID or adding additional appearances.
  • Hardware problem that will need to be diagnosed by Apple after scheduling an appointment. Yes this happens, no matter what iOS version you are using or when you updated.

I think the issue you are up against where you think that bots are gaslighting you is because you have been making a claim that this is due to iOS 26.3 and that is the reason for your problem. If that were actually the case, not only would we all be experiencing that, but don't you think that would be the top story on every news network?

In your other post, you were asked about your Battery Health percentage and there was never an answer back. It had been noted that an iPhone 13 by now is likely overdue for a battery replacement, and if you are still on the original battery your Battery Health is likely below 80% and needs to be replaced. This will cause a number of issues that you will never be able to resolve until the battery is replaced.

My Face ID stopped recognizing my face suddenly. I updated to iOS 26 yesterday. I’ve gone through troubleshooting and nothing has worked.

Camera works fine and nothing blocking sensor. It let me stop stolen phone protection to make a new Face ID scan but now it requires Face ID to turn off so I came reset that again. Not sure how it let me do that the first time.

I am having the same Face ID issue after IOS26 upgrade. I performed a Face ID reset and got it working for a while then it stopped again. This has to be a broader issue that Apple needs to address. I’ll try resetting again but I am expecting the same results.

If it was a broader issue you would see thousands of posts about it. It is a problem with your iPhone, not 100 million iPhones.
