Why is my phone showing Face ID issue after I upgrade to iOS 26 even though my Face ID is still working and still scanning

That is EXACTLY it. Attention Required is a security feature; it verifies that your eyes are open and it can see the whites of your eyes.
YOUR FACE ID CAMERA IS BROKEN. Yes, there are other users who have broken Face ID cameras, with roughly a billion iPhones with Face ID there are certain to be some. But that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a hardware problem. Contact Apple support, as suggested in the link that I posted.
You may need to turn off Stolen Device Protection first.
If faceID is broken and you are not in your official familiar you may need this

If you have any authorize service center close to you, you should go cuz I don’t think customer support can help, cuz customer support have diagnosed my phone remotely and they told me my phone didn’t show that there’s anything wrong with its ability to use Face ID, but I didn’t have any authorize service center close to me

I am having the same Face ID issue after IOS26 upgrade. I performed a Face ID reset and got it working for a while then it stopped again. This has to be a broader issue that Apple needs to address. I’ll try resetting again but I am expecting the same results.

After updating ios26 FaceId had little software glitch .by changing theme to clear , it works well

100% same. With glasses (I almost always wear glasses and never had Face ID problems prior to iOS 26) Face ID doesn’t work. Take them off and it works fine. Even more frustratingly I couldn’t reset Face ID cause stolen phone protection was on. In order to reset Face ID that has to be turned off. But to turn stolen phone protection off? Yep. Face ID is required.

Yes, it is really silly to protect your personal data when your iPhone is stolen. I get it. If you could turn off SDP without biometric identification it really couldn’t protect anything, because the thief could use the same way that you could disable it. Don’t worry, the software guys can fix it.
It’s always worked with my glasses. Even if they’re partially tinted. This is a bug. I’ve seen people commenting on this everywhere. FaceID has slowed down on OS26 (for me it’s both my iPhone and iPad)

Happened to me. Been on iOS 26 for a while with no issues. All of a sudden today it stopped working. Issue was with my glasses. Once I took them off it worked.
This exactly. It’s not a broken camera. It’s all over Reddit and other sites. Both my iPhone and my iPad are experiencing this. I can’t believe thousands of FaceID cameras broke this month.
