Why is my phone showing Face ID issue after I upgrade to iOS 26 even though my Face ID is still working and still scanning

That is EXACTLY it. Attention Required is a security feature; it verifies that your eyes are open and it can see the whites of your eyes.

No me reconoce cara, no puedo restablecer la configuración, no puedo quitar la protección del dispositivo robado... para todo me pide que ponga la cara. La IOS actual me relantiza todo acceso. Ya no sé qué hacer, he reiniciado varias veces, he visto mil videos a ver si pudiera ayudarme algo y nada. ¿Sabemos cuando saldra algo que solucione esto? Por lo visto no hay manera de volver a la versión anterior. Gracias.

Im sure that is iOS problem, not the device. Everything was good till I updated the last iOS, and my Face ID is gone!
I tried anything trick on youtube, forum but nothing happens!
Even after force restart or re-setting all settings, when I am trying to setup new Face ID or resetting it, it is showing Face ID not available.
I also tried after removing glass protector but issue still persist.
Does this problem solves after any patch update or it will remain forever.
But There is not even a single scratch on my deep lens even on my whole screen.
This same issue is coming with many people.
I just checked tweets of many people and also searched on google many people are facing same issue.

My Face ID hasn't worked properly since the first ios 26 update. I now have 26.2 on a iPhone 14. I've done everything suggested in this community, including turning off "attention required" and resetting up face i.d. numerous times. When it does work, there's a delay. It's extremely irritating having to punch in my 6-digit code every time. I finally set it to a 5-minute auto-lock to prevent having to do that so often but that's defeats the security purpose. I'm at the point where I'm either going to remove my password or get an Android phone.

Yes and it’s not like my Face ID is not working, it’s working perfectly, but it’s showing Face ID issue detected in part and service history

I am facing same issue, will apple upgrade IOS26 and problem can be resolved or I need to visit service center ?
same here did my update this morning and my face ID stopped working. This is a major problem and need to be fixed asap.
Its greyed out, Not even getting to reset it.
Facing the same issue after the new update. I tried setting up new Face ID and tried to reset.That option is turned off.
Face ID and passcode have completely disappeared in settings?!?!

I did this and when I went to go reset Face ID, it said Face ID is not available :(
