iOS 26 Cellular doesn't work after update

Hello,

I updated my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 26 today, and I've noticed that cellular service is not working at all.

When the phone booted after the update, it didn't ask for the SIM PIN code.

I also went to Settings > Mobile Service > SIM PIN and tried to disable the PIN, but when I tried to tap on Change PIN, nothing happens.

Additionaly, my phone number no longer appears in the mobile service section.

Also, when I open SIM Applications, I can see my carriers services listed, but when I tap on them, nothing happens.

I have already tried:

- Restarting the device

- Reinserting the SIM card

- Checking for carrier settings updates

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?

Guys i may have found the solution for this problem , you need to turn lockdown mode off , you can check it via - privacy and security, lockdown mode

Lockdown mode is "designed for the very few individuals who, because of who they are or what they do, might be personally targeted by some of the most sophisticated digital threats. Most people are never targeted by attacks of this nature."

If you have it on and you don't fit into that category, you should definitely turn it off.

Having the same issue. I brought my phone to a local phone repair shop and they reverted it back to ios18 and the cellular works fine again now. Definitely something up with iphone14s and the latest update. It happened when I did the beta update a couple weeks back and the. Happened again today when i did the public ios26 update. Back to the phone shop I go again.

SIMS can go bad/defective for many reasons. Most cellular providers will replace SIMS for free. AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon all provide SIMS at no charge where I live (Florida).

The fact two other SIMS work in your iPhone indicates your SIM is defective. The SIM may be too old to work with the newer device or newer iOS .

Cellular providers install their own software and firmware. If it hasn’t been updated, that’s not Apple’s fault. A simple visit to the provider store or service locations should resolve your issue.

Following my earlier post requiring assistance with failure of the cellular module on my iPhone 15 immediately after IOS 26.1 update.

Having tried the majority of recommended solutions found on this forum, I took my 19month old phone to my local Apple store. I was expecting bad news and clinging to a hope that there may be some value in trading up to the latest model.

Having explained the issues to staff, I was informed that, because I purchased my phone directly from Apple, I had a 2 year warranty on the cellular components and the repair was going to be without charge to me.

Repair done and phone now fully restored and working perfectly!

I’m very grateful to Apple but still puzzled as to why there’s nothing official online about this issue.
