iOS 26 Cellular doesn't work after update

Hello,

I updated my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 26 today, and I've noticed that cellular service is not working at all.

When the phone booted after the update, it didn't ask for the SIM PIN code.

I also went to Settings > Mobile Service > SIM PIN and tried to disable the PIN, but when I tried to tap on Change PIN, nothing happens.

Additionaly, my phone number no longer appears in the mobile service section.

Also, when I open SIM Applications, I can see my carriers services listed, but when I tap on them, nothing happens.

I have already tried:

- Restarting the device

- Reinserting the SIM card

- Checking for carrier settings updates

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?

Apple just pushed out an update to iOS 26 which addresses the issue of eSIM card fail caused by iOS 26. I updated to 26.0.1, restarted my phone and now I have cell signal again. Don't know how long it will last and I put at least 20 man-hours into fixing it. 3 trips to T-Mobile, 3 trips to Apple store and long conversations w/ T-Mobile tech support who said they were aware of the issue and reported it to Apple. So Apple addressed the issue with the 26.0.1 update. Fingers crossed!!

This is my second message in this forum. Will Apple be releasing a fix soon? I've been stuck without a functioning phone for almost a month and a half now, and it’s extremely frustrating. After using Apple for nearly 15 years, I’m seriously considering switching to Android.

I’m an iPhone 15 Pro Max user in Ireland. I’ve tried everything — resetting network settings, restoring the phone, toggling Airplane Mode, checking APN settings, and more. My phone uses dual eSIM, and even after updating to iOS 26.0.1, I still have no network. It’s been more than a month with no service at all.

Does anyone know when Apple plans to release a fix for this issue?

I’ve been having the same problem ever since updating to iOS 26.1 on my iPhone 12 Pro Max.

I went to the Genius Bar, and the initial diagnostics showed that cellular, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth were all not working. They then restored my phone, and everything passed the diagnostic tests afterward.

However, once I got home and inserted my SIM card, everything stopped working again. It’s clearly a software issue, but the only advice they gave me was to trade in the phone…

It’s really frustrating.

I've had this problem since updating from iOS 18 to 26, albeit intermittently. My 13 Pro has no problems with cellular data when I remain within my country, but as soon as I cross the border it loses the signal, and it can take a while to get it back. Turning on Airport mode does not help to find the new carrier when turned back on, and sometime under network selection nothing happens, and occasionally there is no tab for network selection but just shows my cellphone number. We're now on iOS 26.4 and the problem does not seem to have been resolved. My carrier operator gave me a new SIM card, but that has not solved the issue. It's a right pain. If you take it in to Apple they will say it's a hardware problem with your phone and might try to charge you an exorbitant repair fee. But given the very high number of users that experienced the problem following the upgrade to iOS 26, it is clearly a software issues caused by Apple - at least according to more tech savvy people than me. Good luck.

Same thing happened to me too with iPhone 14. Now there is no cellular so can’t make any calls or send any messages. Apple diagnostics said it was a hardware problem but I didn’t have a single problem before the update. It worked perfectly. I’ve tired every solution multiple times. How will this be fixed? And how long will it take? It’s essential to be able to use cellular.

Not only has my iPhone had several problems since the iOS 26 update, but when I got on a support chat forum from VERIZON they referred me to a “tech pro” and a pop up window appeared that requested my credit info. The tech assured me that I would only be charge $1 and that would be refunded if the problem wasn’t solved. Well the problem was NOT solved and I was charged $46. Needless to say I’m very upset. My iPhone 15 doesn’t work so I cannot call my Bank or Verizon. I’m currently using my iPad to covey this message. PLEASE HELP. I’m 77 and house bound. So driving to the Apple Store several miles away in traffic is impossible. Apple has to do better. @Apple.com
