iOS 26 Cellular doesn't work after update

Hello,

I updated my iPhone 14 Pro to iOS 26 today, and I've noticed that cellular service is not working at all.

When the phone booted after the update, it didn't ask for the SIM PIN code.

I also went to Settings > Mobile Service > SIM PIN and tried to disable the PIN, but when I tried to tap on Change PIN, nothing happens.

Additionaly, my phone number no longer appears in the mobile service section.

Also, when I open SIM Applications, I can see my carriers services listed, but when I tap on them, nothing happens.

I have already tried:

- Restarting the device

- Reinserting the SIM card

- Checking for carrier settings updates

Is anyone else experiencing this? Any solutions?

Apple just pushed out an update to iOS 26 which addresses the issue of eSIM card fail caused by iOS 26. I updated to 26.0.1, restarted my phone and now I have cell signal again. Don't know how long it will last and I put at least 20 man-hours into fixing it. 3 trips to T-Mobile, 3 trips to Apple store and long conversations w/ T-Mobile tech support who said they were aware of the issue and reported it to Apple. So Apple addressed the issue with the 26.0.1 update. Fingers crossed!!

My iPhone 15 Pro decided to auto-update to iOS 26.1 at midnight while I was traveling in a foreign country. Woke up with zero cellular. No mobile data, no calls, no SMS - completely cut off from the world.

I didn't ask for this update. It just happened. And now I'm stranded abroad with no way to navigate, no translation, no emergency contact with family. Just an expensive brick that Apple remotely bricked for me while I slept.

Device: iPhone 15 Pro

iOS version: 26.1

SIM type: eSIM

Everything I've tried - nothing worked:

  • Soft reboot
  • Hard reboot
  • Reset Network Settings
  • Reset All Settings

"Thanks" very much for this great experience and premium support.

Having similar issues with my Iphone 15 connecting to cellular towers! No Sim/eSim card is working on my phone. Been into the apple store, said it isn't to do with hardware. Is there a fix in order for my phone to work again, tried all the usual troubleshoots, including resetting my phone.

Currently on ISO 26.3. Any news on Apple resolving the issue? Read a lot on-line having the same issues! Not great by Apple!

Any help appreciated! Very annoyed Apple user!

watching a video or photo online is a challenge. coming online alone is now boring. Please let it be fixed

Check for iOS updates. Remove any add-on VPN apps. Remove, not disable. Test.

If the cellular performance problem persists, your first call will be to your carrier, then to Apple.
