iOS26 update on iPhone 15 ruined wireless charging

After updating my iPhone 15 to iOS26, my qi2 wireless charger keep turning on and off. Though my phone is constantly showing charging, the battery keeps dropping while connected.

Also tried with other phones(not iPhone) works fine, the charger does not disconnect.

I have been using this wireless charger with my iPhone for the past 1year never had any issue.

I didn’t at all mention what band so you assumed. I just mentioned one being apple magsafe spec. and another being a non magnetic type. They are qi spec so they work with the hardware as specified by apple. One is Belkin and the other Anker both of which are sold on apple.com and in their own apple stores.

Obviously the code to make these work, since the hardware is compatible, was implemented in previous iOSs as we all noted they have and still work with non iOS 26 phones. They even sometimes work with iOS 26 after the turn off and set on charger workaround.

What you are suggesting is Apple knowingly broke support for third party wireless charging some of which they both certified and sell on apple.com.

Shouldn't need an Apple branded charger as this was supposedly developed to the qi standard so any qi certified charger should work. 3rd party chargers aren't "knock-offs" so long as they meet certification.

Thank you, finally someone understands the point and here is the link for anyone questioning the authenticity of the charger's certification - https://jpsapi.wirelesspowerconsortium.com/products/qi/23022

Shouldn't need to, but that depends on how closely the knock/offs match Apple's specs.

Seems that if Apple’s qi specs differ from the standard, then it’s the Apple product that’s the knock/off. Qi is a global standard and seems that Apple decided to go their own way so they should drop the qi/qi2 certification if they’re not going to follow it.

That is not the pecking order in this ecosystem
