Slow performance and lag after iOS 26 update on iPhone

Since you bring it up, what is your battery health percentage? What 5 or 6 apps are consuming your battery power and CPU cycles that of course could be the cause of the lag.

It’s sounds like you’re having issues beyond just an iOS upgrade. Have you spoken to Apple Support ?

It’s the worst update ever. Have to select icons multiple times before a response. Things are gone. Can’t block spam caller numbers. Etc.etc.

Same the battery is holding not more than 3 hours and the phone is lagging extremely. Non of the suggested reasons are or were present before the update. The phone has plenty of storage, battery health is at 87%, no jail break, no drops or incorrect handling.

Same, brand new iphone 13 pro max , battery at 100% life, no jailbreak, no temp changes or drops. Super good condition, before updating to newest IOS it was so fast and good. Now it got laggy and phone is starting to heat even and extremely laggy. Things load slow. iPhone storage 512 half full.

I have an Iphone 13 and my available storage is 132GB. My battery health is 91 even after 3 years of usage which means i have been taking care of my iphone pretty well. Still after my Update my Iphone faces many lag and few apps are not responsive at times.

Thank you for this comprehensive overview of all the issues. However, I have an iPhone 13 and iOS 26 brings me lots of problems in terms of software. It is impossible to take a picture or record videos, to scroll the app on the home page, sometimes the phone unlocks with face ID, but a black screen appears, and even locking is impossible. It is impossible to record the screen and show the error because, as said before, the iPhone crashes as soon as I press the button for taking pictures.

This is very frustrating, and it is not just about the cases you've shown. In this case, the software is not performing well enough and lots of bugs should be reported and managed. Before iOS 26, my device worked perfectly.

Before updating, my iPhone was running smoothly without performance issues. However, after the iOS 26 update, the device now feels unresponsive, and simple tasks take longer than usual. This is especially disappointing given that I rely on my iPhone for both personal and work-related activities.

I kindly request Apple to look into this matter and provide guidance on resolving the performance issues caused by the update. If this is a known issue, please advise whether a fix or patch will be released soon.

I have always trusted Apple for its quality and performance, and I hope this matter will be addressed at the earliest.

I have the same problems. It even goes to an extent where the screen brightness suddenly significantly drops down, and I am almost unable to read anything.

I am running an iPhone 13 Pro and considered, switching back to my old Pixel 6 since this phone handles all the updates perfectly fine

Just had Apple delete my previous post because I mentioned it might be a scam for us to buy a new phone well to whoever deleting my post I wouldn't think it's a scam if my phone was performing the same as it was before the update just seems a bit convenient

I have iPhone 16 pro max and after updating to iOS 26 my device has significantly slowed down. I am experiencing lag and sometimes the screen gets stuck for a while. today morning I even had my Bluetooth disabled and It was not letting enable it. I am attaching the screenshot

My iPhone 13 Pro after updated has to slow n lag…even I can’t make any call or answer someone call…I was shocked my iPhone became an Android phone…. Service inconvenience…I missed my iPhone 4! Disappointed ios26
