Call screening are enabled but doesn’t work

Same language (pt-br) and region (BR) here and had the same issue.

I managed to fix it by turning off any third party Id services (in my case, it was the carrier's one that was activated).

These settings are under Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification (Ajustes > Telefone > Bloqueio & Identificação).

I assume that you have several iOS/iPadOS devices

Try to set the same region and language on all devices - there may be a conflict in the understanding of system settings

You may also have number detection programs installed, try to disable access to the call display, maybe because of them the system also considers the number "known"

I have the same problem, in my case it’s a person/company with “No caller ID” who keeps calling me (hiding their number). If I choose “silence” it works as expected and I am not bothered, but with “ask reason for calling”, I just receive the call as usual.

It’s extremely annoying not being able to only block/ignore those people with “No Caller ID” and the only option is to silence calls from anyone not in my contacts.
