iOS 26 – 5G/LTE Data Not Working on eSIM After Update (iPhone 16 Pro)

After updating my iPhone 16 Pro to iOS 26, I have completely lost the ability to use 5G/LTE data with my eSIM.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Update iPhone 16 Pro to iOS 26.
  2. Use an eSIM profile from carrier.
  3. Observe: the device shows signal strength and 5G/LTE icon, but no internet connection is established.

Troubleshooting already attempted:

  • Restarted the device multiple times.
  • Removed and re-added the eSIM profile.
  • Reset all network settings.
  • Verified APN settings are correct.
  • Confirmed with my carrier that there are no 5G/LTE outages or restrictions on their side.

Notes:

  • This issue appeared only after upgrading to iOS 26.
  • Carrier settings update is not available.
  • Other devices on the same carrier/SIM have working 5G/LTE data.

Is this a known issue with iOS 26 and eSIM/5G/LTE connectivity on the iPhone 16 Pro? Are there any additional steps I can take to restore proper network functionality, or is this pending a fix in a future iOS update?

Same issue for me except that I updated last week, my eSIMS had worked since the update, and today after I went somewhere remote where the signal dropped, both eSIM signals have been down. When I restart, nothing. When I go to Airplane Mode and return, I get 1-2 bars for a few seconds on the main eSIM and then it disappears again. Never had an issue like this before.
