Mac not charging iPhone 17 Pro Max

My iMac 2023 does not charge my iPhone 17 Pro Max when I connect it with a usb-c cable. I didn't have this problem with my iPhone 16 Pro Max. It connects to the computer but it doesn't charge the iPhone anymore.

Update 09/24 - iMac 2023 has 4 USB-C ports in the back, but only two (ports 3 + 4) are meant for charging. They have a lighting bolt detail above them.

I was attempting to use the same port (#2) to charge my 13 Pro with no issues, but the 17 Pro must need more energy pull to charge. This resolved any issues.

I had this issue today.

I was able to get my iPhone 17 Pro to start charging by powering the phone off while it was still connected to my Mac (M3, Tahoe 26.0) using the cable included with the phone.

Before it started charging, I was able to back up my phone as well as use the screen mirroring option on my Mac, so the cable seems to be at least partially working. Curious to see if this is a more widespread issue or something that is addressed in a future update. It would be a pain to need to restart my phone every time I wanted to charge it on my Mac.

I am having the same issue. Tried another brand new cable and my new iPhone 17 pro will not charge when hooked to my iMac but other devices do. When I take the same cable and plug it into my MacBook Air it charges my iPhone fine. It is just my new iPhone 17 pro that doesn't allow charging from my iMac. Any thoughts? I have also rebooted everything several times.
