Why won't my wife's iPhone 11 charge when plugged into my M1 MacBrook Pro?

My iPhone 15 Pro Max does charge (and also syncs) from my MacBook Pro's USB-C ports, but my wife's iPhone 11 does not. I checked my MBP's Privacy & Security settings, and "Allow accessories to connect" is set to "Always." So I don't understand why it doesn't charge.

Any help appreciated!

It may be a connection issue. Check the ports of the iphone 11 for damage, and restart both devices. Also check the ports of the computer, and check the wire for any damage.

If you are using a third party charging cord, it may be damaged internally (It has happened many times to me). Try using a different cord.

Also, charge the phone using a wall connector. If the phone charges, then it is an power/connection issue. Else, there is a short somewhere, the wall connector is broken (unlikely), or the port of the iphone 11 is not working.

Even if you are using a good cord, it may be that the phone simply needs more power then the computer can provide.

In any case, if it is a major issue, consider asking your local genius bar or authorized service shop near you.
