Face ID is not working on iPhone XR running iOS 18.7

"Face ID Not Working on IOS 18.7: It first started with it having an issue with recognising me (it was slow), so I eventually tried to set up an alternative appearance, and it wouldn’t let me set it up (I was just stuck at the stage where I have to position my face in the camera… I tried doing that for an hour and it wouldn’t seemingly recognise me so I can get to tilting my face). I reset it and tried to start afresh, but I encountered the same problem."
