Apple Watch not notifying me

I have just found my Apple Watch having believed I lost it on holiday. Having charged it I have paired it with my iPhone. Messages come through to the watch but I don’t get notified ( vibrate etc,no noise needed) I’ve tried restarting both, I’ve checked Bluetooth etc etc. anyone have any other ideas please. The only thing that is different is I’ve recently updated to the new ios26???

why my ultra2 watch does not notifying when left behind I have an iPhone 17air and already have my ultra 2 watch, this iPhone is new I pair every device on it except the watch it kept on can't mention to notify me when left behind .. I do all the steps required on watching and asking YouTube or apple support or google and still remaining the same. I reset, unpair, and pair again I do it several times still same. what shall I do ?

Watch: Notification received but no vibration Hi! I recently bought an iPhone 15 pro which I paired with my apple Watch series 8. I had it previously paired with an iPhone 11. Since then, notifications are not always leading to the watch vibrating. I do receive the notification (the red dot is there) but no vibration. I tried unpairing and pairing it back, hard reboot phone and watch but to no avail. What could be wrong? It is quite annoying if I may say, since l'm no longer able to tell when a notification arrives.

Make sure that notifications and sounds are turned on.

Use your iPhone and the Watch app

Go to Sounds and haptics then go down to Messages and select there

also on the Watch App go to Messages, chose Custom and select from there.
