iPhone 17 Pro Max – Static / hissing noise from speaker while charging

On my 13Pro Max was an issue: when I started record a video, for first 2 second sound is not recording and I heard some buzzing noise on the video.

Apple said that with phone everything is ok and this is software issue.

Ok. During 4 years issue was not fixed

Guys, I'm Italian and I also have this problem (iphone 17 pro max ) when the phone is under charge, I hear a noise coming from the speakers, is it a software bug? , I also notice a crazy lag in the keyboard!!

I have this issue on my 17 Pro Max as well, it’s more obvious if you’re in your photos app, and play a video, make sure it’s not muted but just turned all the way down. My bottom speaker, which is now on the left side, produces sounds similar to radio static

OP do you have any updates for us? Has Apple said anything about it?

It’s been weeks and many people reporting this widespread problem to Apple yet no statement from them? This is getting to be beyond a joke!

Is there any real chance of Apple making a hardware fix for this problem as it seems like it really is a hardware issue? Or will they just push hack fixes via software / firmware updates and hope no one cares? I can’t tell if they will actually make changes on future production batches and at this point I’m wondering if it’s worth just waiting for iPhone 18 as I can’t imagine them fixing this soon

If they don't figure out a solution via a software update, I think they'll release a service program. I've used them twice in the past for AirPods Pro because they were making noise in the earbuds - both times they replaced them with new ones.

Just wanted to share a quick update, unfortunately, there's still no resolution from Apple. My original device still shows the warranty as expired, and they haven’t updated it even after I returned the replacement.

Each time I contact support, I’m told the case has been assigned to the appropriate team, but nothing ever happens. This time, I was told I’d get an update within 4 business days. I’ll keep you all posted once I hear back.

Oh me too! The first things what I facing is Muted the speaker but still heard noises when using app like AppleTV, Gaming the others apps high consuming power.

And now heard noises from charging port and now you’re right, from the “put your ear near to the back side of the phone, where the three cameras are located” also.

I am experiencing a static/hissing noise issue with my iPhone 17 Pro Max while listening to music. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, what steps did you take to resolve it?

At this point, it is not worth replacing the device, because no one can guarantee that these problems will not occur again, and Apple has not taken any position on this matter other than constantly replacing iPhones with new ones.

In my case, the replacement device will arrive today (Germany). I don’t anticipate that it will resolve the issue, but it might prompt Apple to take more action when I can report it back to them.

They blocked the price of the device on my card and directly sent me the replacement phone. Once I set it up, I can send my original phone back to them.

I’ve had my new iPhone 17pro max also and have the same hissing/rustling noise coming from the speaker. Occasionally I also hear it from the camera. Not sure what these issues are. I don’t know if it’s a software issue or hardware issue. I thought I was the only one lol
