Updated to Tahoe (macOS 26) and now printers do not print

I recently updated to macOS 26 Tahoe. Now, none of my printers work. Not the usb HP printer nor any network printers.

I reset the print system in Print Center and reinstalled the usb printer. No good. I deleted everything in /Library/Printers folder and reinstalled the printer. Still no good.

The error log reports a plethora of errors, but the all seem to be centered around File “/usr/libexec/cups/daemon/cups-deviced” has insecure permissions.

Please advise.

This worked perfectly for me.

I have a Canon MF4350d and after the Tahoe install on a Macbook Air M3, the printer disappeared.

Okay, so I did the above step:

From the Finder> Go> Go To Folder, copy & paste:

/var/log/cups

And deleted the log file. Went back into the Add Printers menu and there was the printer. I could add it again and it prints.

thanks so much!
