What wattage charger are you using? If you want your phone to charge at its maximum charging speed, invest in a 25W charger or Qi2 25W MagSafe Charger. Otherwise charging with lower chargers (less than 20W) will take a log longer to go from 10% to 100%.

You should avoid letting your new iPhone go below 20%. It can prematurely age your battery. What you really should be doing is plugging your phone in to charge when you go to bed at night and leave it on its charger all night EVERY night, with Optimized Battery Charging turned one. This is the BEST way to ensure you wake to a fully charged iPhone, which will also back up as long as you have iCloud Backup enabled.

The 17 Pro Max has a larger battery. It takes longer to charge a larger battery. If you want, you can use up to a 40w charging cube, which will take less time to charge your phone.

Why aren't you plugging your phone in to charge when you go to bed at night, leaving it on the charger ALL night, EVERY night, with Optimized Battery Charging turned on? This is the recommended way to charge your iPhone and will ensure you wake to a fully charged iPhone, ready for a full days use.

So I’m using a belkin 20w charger, and the cord that came in the box to charge my iPhone 17pro, and it still takes literally forever. I did a side by side test. My iPhone 16pro took about and hour and some change to charge to 100% from 10% my 17pro, 3 hours… am I doing something wrong?

for additional context, I originally got the 17, but ended up changing it out to the pro because I thought it was just a 17 base model issue.. nope.
