Apple Music stops playing after one song on Apple Watch

I just upgraded to iOS 26 on both my iPhone and Apple Watch Ultra 3 and now Apple Music will only play one, or sometimes two, songs on my watch before stopping. It doesn’t matter if I select an album or a playlist. I get the same thing with Apple Music stopping on its own. I first noticed this while using the workout app and going for a run, but I am also getting this while just trying to listen to music and not working out. Problem solved for me ! I found the sustainable solution. I think the conflict is linked to Apple Music session open in browser version. You must disconnect from all browsers playing Apple Music web player with your account as you can’t play on more than one device.

I leaved my computer at work with Apple Music web player version open with my account connected and music paused. Then I had this problem when listening to my music using Apple Watch. Next song not playing. When I unlocked my iPhone, Music displayed the message that I can’t listen to music on more than one device with my subscription. After each song I think there is a conflict with other device connected to your Apple Music account. Disconnect from web browser playing before listening with your Apple Watch.

switched back to prime music, atl least that works. Will cancel apple music amy e they will learn!

Yes, it's insane that they can't fix this. Does anyone know if Spotify (or anything else) works normally. It'd be a pain to switch but Apple Music basically useless at this point.

Yes, me as well. Stopped after 3 songs while running. I then asked it to play music and my watch restarted. Really good. One step forward, two steps back.

FWIW, I've updated to this version and the 3 song then pause issue still persists.

As others have noted, it's now playing 3 songs and stopping. OS is updated to 26.2.1. Hopefully they can fully fix it in the next update.

Same on my Ultra. It stopped while running after a few songs and when I tapped my airpods to go to the next song - it went to the song from a few songs ago. I kept thinking it was because it was on shuffle. But shuffle never repeats a song so quickly. And it didn't dawn on me it wasn't fixed even though the music was stopping. This explains why during my race last weekend I kept hearing the same songs over and over. This bug still needs work!
