Profile picture not saving in Contacts app on iPhone

Using the contacts app, I’ve tried to change my profile picture for sharing name and photo. However every time I change it and close it, it immediately reverts back.

ive also tried doing the same on the messages app, iCloud.com, and in the settings app. They all don’t save.

How to change my contact profile picture. I changed my profile picture on FaceTime, contacts, AppleID, Phone, etc... but on my friends' phones it still shows the old one.
