Update: So I’ve been going back and forth with AT&T, Apple, and the nearest certified repair place (Best Buy). AT&T will say contact apple, apple will set an appointment for the repair center, and the repair center will not warranty under factory warranty, then they suggest contact AT&T . The cycle repeats. The nearest Apple Store is 3 hours away, also the feedback from the local AT&T store is that considering I bought the phone online I have to make a claim online, but when I do that the representative will direct me to the local AT&T store. The store will deny the claim. I just want my defective phone from the factory fixed under warranty.
You will be disappointed. Phones don't bend, they get bent, usually in a back jeans pocket. It is not a manufacturing defect. Even the iphone air at 5.5mm thick cannot be bent easily.
Had you paid for AppleCare+ it would be covered for accidental damage. Being damaged by the owner disqualifies it from replacement or service under warranty. That's it.
