Unable to connect to Wi-Fi on iPhone 17 Pro Max after iOS 26.0.1 update

I have a 17 Pro Max and I never had an issue with WiFi or Bluetooth disconnecting.

However, I updated to iOS 26.0.1 yesterday and now I am unable to connect to WiFi and stay connected.

I did a hard reset and then I reset the network settings and I am still having issues connecting.

When I am able to connect to WiFi it only lasts 10-15 minutes and then will disconnect.

I've had the same issue, however, it also depends on the Router settings as well. But I think the problem is directly to the network chip inside or a software issue. I own an Asus GT-AX1100 Gaming router, which is a Wi-Fi 6 router, and have noticed that I had to turn off AX mode and set the encryption from WPA3 to WPA2/WPA3 just to get my iPhone 17 Pro Max to connect to my 5Ghz WiFi. I'm sure it's different for everyone else. I had no issue with my old iPhone 13 Pro Max or my brother's iPhone 16 Plus. I don't use VPN, and have tried a factory reset, network reset, and restarting the iPhone many times.

Hi,

My issue is even worst. Purchased the iPhone 17 Pro and it will not connect to my TP-Link.

Did reset etc and updated to iOS 26.0.1. Phone was wiped at Apple store and still no luck was then given a replacement and no joy as well.

So the issue is with my secure router, if I set it to non-secured it works.

I think many customers may have to buy a new router because of the new iPhone; all my other devices connect fine.

I have been travelling for two weeks now and our iPhone 17 Pro ( my husbands and mine) do not detect any WIFI in any of the places we have stayed in. Our iPads detect the WIFI without a problem. The only way around this we have found, is for someone with an android phone on the same WIFI to generate a QR Code which we then scan with our iPhone 17 Pro. Surely there must be a setting on the iPhone to allow it to recognise the WIFI signal?

Your solution that you have posted a few times elsewhere may have some relevance there but it is not relevant in this case, the problem was old routers.
