iPhone 13 Pro very slow after iOS 26 update – how to downgrade?

I just updated my iPhone 13 Pro to iOS 26, and I’m really disappointed. My device has become much slower compared to before. Apps don’t launch as fast, and the overall performance is not the same as it was on the older version (I think it was iOS 18.x).

This update made my experience worse, and now I regret updating. I’d really like to go back to my previous iOS version, but I’m not sure if that’s possible.

Can someone from Apple or other users please guide me? Is there any official way to downgrade from iOS 26 back to iOS 18.x? Or is my only option to stay with this update?

Apple has never supported downgrading the iOS version, so you will have to stay with what is current and apply new updates as they become available.

Remember that your phone has to index everything on the phone after any major update and this will slow down the performance of the phone for a few days until the process has completed.

It took about 4 days for things to return to normal.....speed wise.....on my phone when I updated the iOS version. During this time, the phone ran quite a bit warmer than normal because the battery was really working overtime during the indexing process.
