In the new iOS 26 update apple released a feature where you could put a video or document as a ringtone but when i press the set as ringtone button the photos app stops working and when i put a document as a ringtone nothing happenes. Does anyone have the same problem or does anyone know how to fix this?

I see no mention of a feature to have a video or an arbitrary document as a ringtone, either in Apple's description of iOS 26, or in the online iPhone User Guide.

Based on what I'm seeing on a couple of third-party sites, it looks like it probably is possible to use the Files app to directly create an audio ringtone from a MP3 or M4A audio file that is less than 30 seconds long. Long-press on the file, then select Share > Use as Ringtone. The Share > Ringtone option might be available in some other apps, too, but so far I have seen nothing to suggest that a ringtone can be anything other than a short audio clip.
