Go out and take lots of pictures. Look at them and see which ones you think are good and think about why. Try to do that the next time. Read about photography, not just with an iPhone (great resources have been posted) but about photography in general. Take lots more pictures.
Does this answer your need→Change advanced camera settings on iPhone - Apple Support
Open your Books app and search by "iPhone photography." I just did that and found a lot of hits on the subject, including some that are no-cost.

Kind of an unusual question, tbh. Are you a professional photographer? We have no clue how much you know about photography in order to guide you in a meaningful way. Here is a link about the Camera Basics on iPhone --> iPhone camera basics - Apple Support
Here is another link about taking photos and videos on iPhone --> Take great photos and videos - Apple Support
Simply said, someone who wants to use iPhone cameras professionally, would already have a solid foundation in White Balance, Aperture, Focal Length, Shutter Speeds, etc.

There was an excellent book, Flags of our Fathers, by the son of one of the marines in that photo. Highly Recommended. And also a movie based on the book directed by Clint Eastwood. He then made a followup movie, Letters from Iwo Jima, about the battle from the point of view of the Japanese soldiers, based on a treasure trove of correspondence that survived the battle.
What exactly do you mean by that?

That's way to vague to address.
This is a technical support forum. We can't teach you how to be a photographer.
And be aware that professional photographers usually take 100 photos, and throw away 90 of them.
Except for this one by Joe Rosenthal:
They actually raised two flags on Iwo Jima. My father was in the Army Air Corps and talked about the flag raising many times. The morale change of the allied troops was dramatic, he said.
