🐞 Bug Report: FlyFi Captive Portal Fails on iPhone (iOS 26)


Severity: Level 1 – Critical usability failure during travel

Device: iPhone Air running iOS 26

Issue: Unable to connect to JetBlue FlyFi Wi-Fi network

Symptoms:


• Network shows as connected in Wi-Fi settings

• No IP address assigned or no internet access

• Captive portal (`flyfi.com`) fails to load in Safari, Chrome, Firefox

• Works fine on iPad (same Apple ID, same flight)



Troubleshooting Attempted:


• Disabled VPN, Private Relay, and content blockers

• Tried captive.apple.com and manual DNS override

• Toggled Private Wi-Fi Address

• Reset network settings

• Used multiple browsers and private mode



Impact:

This prevents access to in-flight Wi-Fi on JetBlue flights, affecting productivity, communication, and entertainment. The issue appears specific to iOS 26 and may be tied to captive portal handling or MAC address privacy.

I have a feeling you are not aware this is a user to user only forum, not Apple Support. Kilgore-Trout is correct that if you work for JetBlue, you or your IT department needs to contact Apple directly, which you most certainly aren't doing here. For what it's worth, no issues with Jet Blue Wi-Fi on my iPhone that was running iOS 26 and is now running iOS 26.0.1, so it may be a bit early to blame iOS 26.


If this were a major issue, this site would be flooded with posts. It's not. I can't find any other reports like yours after a few minutes of searching.

Dear fellow Apple users. I am just a plain old traveler who happen to taker a Jet Blue flight having just purchased my iPhone air running IOS26 and 2 updates installed. My iPad connected with no issue on the flight but the phone would not. I used AI to try and trouble shoot and what I copied was from that conversation. I am not sure why you are yelling at me for reporting an issue.
