Changing “flag” colors in iPad OS26 - Strange…

I just update to iPad OS26 on my 2022 iPad Pro 12.9” . I like to often mark my mail with a colored flag and in the Mail on 26 there is a strange quirk that you can only choose one color! I marked two new mail messages and I could only choose orange as the flag color.

Any mail I had marked previously in OS18 stayed the same colors. With my iPhone 16Pro using 26 I can choose different colors. I changed the first one I marked on the iPad to green - it did update that color on my iPad, but also changed other mail flags to green!

Anyone else having this issue?

While iOS Mail does indeed allow you to select from a variety flag colours, this option does appear to missing from iPadOS 26.0.1.

Assuming this is an oversight/bug, you would be well advised to submit a bug report via Apple's Product Feedback portal.

When submitting your Bug Report, please ensure that you include details of your iPad model and installed version of iPadOS within the body-text of your report along with details of the problem. Do not rely upon the pick-list - as this rarely includes the current version of iPadOS.
