Email not working after macOS Tahoe 26.0.1

Well I guess the best route then is to write the email in another app and copy and paste it into Mail and send it and don't let Mail check it for mistakes.

That deleting and re-setting up email doesn't work. Only the NEVER spellcheck workaround works, in my experience.

The other way around this is to have deliberate spelling mistakes in your email for it to check (when you click send), correct them and then it will go. Mad I know!

Worked for me, but unfortunately now I don’t have the auto spell check. Oh well, I’ll just have to wait for this glitch to get patched.

Hi Stoicman. I do not expect Apple to fix this (it’s gone on too long) but not having spell check is better than no ability to send mail at all. Back to using my eyes old-school.

Sorry, I should have mentioned you don’t need to put in an intentional misspelling.

At 26.2, I have tried the suggestion by others to disable spell check. - Now new mail messages seem to be coming/showing, but all older messages are still not showing up in the inbox!

For quite a while I had the same problem. Turning “Check spelling before sending” to Never seems to have solved it. I believe spell check gets hung up trying to check spaces, paragraph markers etc. that we can’t see, but those markers are there. I can now even send attachments again. Thanks for the tip!

I’m up to Tahoe 26.2 now and Mail still has the same issue. Not fixed.

This issue persists in 26.2. I’ve resorted to not using the Mail app and instead accessing iOS Mail from a Safari Web App in the dock.
