iPhone 16 Pro Max Battery AFTER iOS 26 Update

Hi all!

When iOS 26 came out in September, I jumped on making sure my iPhone was updated. After the update was complete, I had zero issues. But now, starting Oct 6, my battery is DRAINING incredibly quick. I’ve never once had battery issues with this phone - I’ve had this phone since December 2026. The battery health is still at 100%.

For context, I keep my phone plugged in overnight, and by 2pm, I’m at 30% or less in battery life. I don’t fiddle too much with my phone throughout the day as I have demanding job.

Before anyone comes at me - yes it is updated to iOS 26.01; yes, all my apps are updated. Background refresh is turned off and auto-brightness is enabled.

I’m at a loss because I’ve never once experienced battery issues quite so badly ever before. I care for my phones and keep them updated. I’ve seen a number of posts about this, but every recommended tip is everything I have set up on my phone already. If there is anything anyone else can recommend or has insight into, it would be GREATLY appreciated.

You need to have Apple perform diagnostics on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.
