Text input fields don't display properly

Since the 26 upgrade, any app requiring text input (e.g. iMessage, WhatsApp, FB Messenger, etc.) does not properly display upon launching the app. The text input field, though active, is below the visible screen, and will not display until you exit and restart the app.

messenger ipad mini messenger allows typing but no preview… can’t see what I am typng When I type on the messenger program for my iPad mini I cannot see the text that I am typing. It appears to be underneath the software keyboard. Sometimes when I change the orientation from portrait to landscape and back to landscape, I can sometimes see it then. But for the most part, I am typing blindly and I can hear the keys clicking with feedback. Just no ability to see what I am typing. If you look at the first screen capture there is no indication that I a, typing . However, with a rotation, the words I typed can be seen. Texting screen only half shown When I get a text there is no place open where I can respond back. The alpha screen stays up half way which bars me from responding

settings, display & brightness, Display zoom, use Default.

If that fixes it then report bugs, one for each app https://apple.com/feedback

Nope, those were already the settings. 🙁
