I am having trouble picking between two Apple Watches

I have 2 options to choose from, either an apple watch series 10 from 2024, or an Apple Watch Ultra 1st gen from 2022, I can either pick longer battery with less features, or more features with more software updates, I consider myself an active person, I walk 8,000-14,000 steps a day, and I really need features and longer battery life, what do I choose? Please do help me compare as I'm planning to make it last for years, What's the plan? My current AW is the SE 1st gen from 2020

Apple Watch SE, watchOS 10

Sorry, please elaborate on "unless you really need it to take a beating", All I use is fall detection SOS feature, heart rate, and medical ID, I do not know if I need the other features, If I do not, might aswell sacrifice it for the extra 18 hr battery? or is that not the case

If you're not using it for sleep tracking, put it on the charger every night when you go to bed. You'll never have to worry about the battery life.

I have a Watch 10. I usually put it on the charger in the morning while I'm showering and dressing. If necessary, I put it on charge for an hour or so after dinner. I rarely have any concerns about battery life.

So what I do is wear it when I sleep for sleep tracking, then when I wake up, I put it on the charger while I go do something then remove it from the charger then wear it after an hour or so, I typically remove the watch from the charger when its in between 90-100%, then wear it throughout my day until it is at least at 30%, if less than that, then I charge it until I wake up next morning, I do worry about battery life when starting an exercise because that takes A LOT of battery, If I exercise at least once or twice a day I end up with at least 10% at night or with no charge at all. That is what happens, that is why I worry about battery life.
