"Block Caller" option is missing in iOS 26.0.1 on my iPhone SE

Did you read the Home button solution on the last page?

Maybe set your forum default sort order to "Oldest" in your user preferences to follow the thread as it was posted.

• iOS 26 and higher versions have two views in the Phone App in the Recents tab
• Use the classic view to block callers. Tap the More Info button  next to the name of the Contact in the Recent list of calls.

an addendum to my original response. After pressing the “i” if you scroll to the bottom and don’t see the call block option, then long-press the home button until more options appear. If the last option is still not call block, long press home button again. The difference is that for the long-press to work one must have scrolled to the bottom already before long-pressing

I already have the classic view on my phone and it doesn’t work. I have an SE phone which previous comments have said seems to be the problem. My long press of the home button as I discussed is all that works for my phone.

OK so the problem with the block caller is now a thing on most apps for me. When the options menus load only half the usual options are there and then some of the links don't work, and I have to go back to home and reenter the app to bring up the menus - also Youtube has stopped validating google. I am stuck now - nothing works without having to reboot each screen and app up to three times. Also Safari screen rendering is well off it won't size properly and I have to hunt for buttons and the fingerprint authorisation on the home button is taking 5 attempts each time.

I have this too, there is no info button and someone else suggest there would be an orange hand when I swipe left but that isn't there either. I think Apple has employed dark web hackers to make there phones less secure. When my plan is up I'm moving to Android, between updates that cause the phone to go flat in half a day, updates that make everything harder to read on screen, and now opening the door to hackers, I'm done with them.

I have searched through the filtering options in the very latest (26.2.1) and they now have SMS/Call filtering turned off by default and when you turn it on, the message you received is forwarded to an independent developer and any private info that is in that message is forwarded too which could include account details or who knows what.

Looks like iPhone will be the preferred platform for hackers to attack.

OMG that actually worked. Mere thanks are not enough. Normally these instructions are full of "hit this button or link" where such button or link doesn't exist, or says "I don't have that problem, so you can't be having it," or it gives the IT equivalent of a doctor saying, "It's all in your head. You're not really spitting up blood..."

I’m so disgusted because of the amount of telemarketers calling me. I used to be able to block them but with the software update you don’t have that feature. I need a new tablet and phone and I’m seriously thinking of going back to Acer and Samsung. I wish the internet was never invented, it’s ruining young people’s life and consequently mine!

If you were here I would kiss you…you’re a genius! I’ve been going into settings…messages…block contact… copy paste block …it always stresses me out..

You’ve made my life easier as I must get at least 8 calls per day of spam calls ad calls even calls from Saudi Arabia 😩 😩 I think my number is on every company register on the planet!

Thank you so much for explaining that so clearly! Like others I have been searching for an answer for awhile. I was shocked to see the options appear little by little as I went back and forth.

I do wish that Apple would practice clear communication about these things, you know?

Does the caller ID show for the caller you want to block?
