Notes APP not syncing between iPhone, iPad and Mac

NOTES APP. If I write a NOTE on, say, iPad it does not sync to iPhone and Mac. Example. I have a pinned NOTE that has three different versions on the three devices. Is this an iOS26 glitch?

Hello JemimaP,

To sync your notes across your devices, ensure iCloud notes is enabled on each device by following these steps:

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap [Your Name]
  3. Tap iCloud
  4. Tap Notes
  5. Enable Sync this iPhone (or Sync this iPad)

Open Notes and wait a few minutes as it may take a bit for it to sync at first, especially if you have a lot of notes.

Mac

  1. Open Settings
  2. Click [Your Name]
  3. Click iCloud
  4. Click Notes
  5. Enable Sync this Mac

To ensure new notes are created by default in iCloud, follow these steps:

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open Settings
  2. Scroll down to Apps
  3. Scroll down or search for to Notes
  4. Tap Default Account
  5. Select iCloud

You can toggle on or off On My [Device] notes in here as well if you would like. On My [Device} notes do not sync across devices.

Mac

  1. Open Notes
  2. Click Notes in the Task bar next to the 
  3. Click Settings
  4. Set Default Account to iCloud.

You can toggle on or off On My [Device] notes in here as well if you would like. On My [Device} notes do not sync across devices.

Notes are synced and updated across devices periodically and typically regularly on a strong Wi-Fi connection. If on cellular data, it may not regularly check and update notes across devices as frequently so as to reduce cellular usage.

Sincerely,

Captain
