How to manage disk space for iOS 26 update on iPhone?

I tried updating my iPhone to the latest iOS, and after installing, my iPhone started freezing, screen was not responding. I looked for a solution from YouTube and I found one which asked me to install iTunes, press volume up, release, volume down, release, then continue pressing the power button until the connectivity icon appears. The connection appears on both screens ( iPhone and pc). Then a message pops out that my disk is full and I need to empty my recycle bin. This message appears after restoring and updating the phone

Empty the recycle bin on your PC. But first you should open the bin and examine the contents. I know many PC users that store items, folders, photos etc. in their bin to remove them from the screen or just eyesight. Do not empty the recycle bin until you’re sure it doesn’t contain any essential files, photos etc.

There is no recycle bin on the iPhone, are you referring to your pc? For that, you would also need space on your pc to download the update, then it would be installed on your phone.
