Will financing iPhone 17 through Verizon on Apple Store website change my existing Verizon plan?

I’m confused and need clarification before buying a phone on the Apple Store Website. When I select finance and select through verizon, will it change my old plan? It’s a great plan with unlimited data and four phones for $130. I don’t want to change it. Will it change it?

Or is it smarter to purchase fully and get the unlocked phone? I have. no plans to leave Verizon, but don't want to lose my current plan.

It should not change your Plan no.

If you select Apple Card Monthly Installments, the iPhone upgrade Program or Verizon's own financing, it uses your existing plan, and the iPhone is unlocked.

Ask Verizon customer support about the terms and conditions of their offers. The plan would only change if required for the Verizon offer and trade in compensation.

Phil’s answer may be correct, but my experience was different with AT&T. I had to switch from an older unlimited plan to a newer plan. I was financing through AT&T and your experience may be different depending on how you finance and if there is a trade in involved.
