How do I create a shortcut to open my currently used apps on iPad?

how do you create a shortcut to open my currently used apps in the windowed configuration after turning on ipad 10 with iOS 26 ?

Not sure what you mean by "shortcut".


All apps on iPad live on the Home Screen or the App Library. If you don't see an app you want on the Home Screen, you can open the App Library and drag it from there to the Home Screen.

You can place your frequently used apps on the dock, by dragging them there.

You can add apps to a specific Home Screen, like the first one, by dragging them there or add widgets for your apps to a Home Screen too to get info from them at a glance. You can then access an app by tapping in its widget.

There is no concept of an app "shortcut" on an iPad. The iPad is not like a Windows PC with shortcuts on the desktop.
