Is my Apple Pencil Pro or iPad Air M3 causing edge issues?

Got a new Airpad M3 and a new Apple Pencil Pro. The pencil will work everywhere on the screen except the edges. I put a screen protector on my Airpad, but removed it to see if the edge problem was from the screen protector, it was not. Is it the Airpad or the pencil that is the problem?

Are you experiencing difficulty with the visible area of the screen, or off-screen (the screen bezel area)?

Unlike your finger, where swipe-gestures can start from the bezel, an Apple Pencil gesture cannot start from the bezel area.
