Two-factor authentication and confirmation text delay on iPhone 17 Pro after update 26.0.1

After upgrading from a 13 pro max to the 17 pro and after update 26.0.1 I started having issues with short codes for 2FA and confirmation text. I have called my wireless provider that monitored my line for 4 days and found nothing wrong with the connection. Apple was no help as they just read over a sheet on how to trouble shoot but nothing was able to fix the issue. I don’t get my text/ 2FA on my device until way later. Sometimes even 7 hours later. I think I started seeing this after the update or it could be just the phone itself which Apple tells me it’s fine. I having taken it to the store yet so just wondering if anyone else having issues with this. Apps the require 2FA like Afterpay affirm my bank etc

I went to Manage Filtering and saw that while I don't filter unknown numbers I did filter Spam. I checked Spam but none of the codes were delivered there. I turned off Spam filtering and then tested again. The SMS message with 2FA code was delivered immediately. I hope this helps.

Update!: It started working out of nowhere this week. Getting all my codes and confirmations from banks and apps. I did not do anything or called T-Mobile back. Idk if it was the new update 26.1 or T-Mobile finally fixed their stuff but all good now

To be clear, you’re speaking of the 2FA codes — usually 6-digits — received via SMS text from banks, financial service companies, and other web sites … ???

Yes it can be 3 digits up to 6 digit from sender sms texts. I have gone through all the settings all the resets there has been nothing that helped

SMS is SMS. The version of iOS you're running won't affect how long it takes for a text message to reach your phone.

So how was it that I never had an issue with my 13 pro max but I am with the 17 pro??? No settings have changed neither has my service.

Again, same cellular service as the 13 pro max for 4 years and never any issues until upgrading and updating.

And again, SMS is a carrier feature. There is nothing about the phone that would delay received SMS messages from being displayed.

My sms works I can text android users and receive text instantly so sms is not the issue
