Volume down button not working for camera after iOS 26 update

can anyone tell me why the volume down button no longer works to snap a pic after I did the iOS 26 update? I have also done the 26.0.1 update.

Also…screenshots sometimes immediately go to photos instead of showing up on my screen.

There is no direct setting to disable the volume buttons when using Apple Camera app. However, Guided Access can be configured to disable volume buttons when using the Camera. Have you made any changes or adjustments to Guided Access settings?

iPhone > Settings > Accessibility > scroll down > Guided Access
