I just got my iphone 17 and it would not connect to my watch. It pairs successfully, it says “connecting” for a minute and then it starts over.
I tried to setup the watch with my old iPhone (2020se) and it was just fine.

The solution is to go to iCloud via web, go to find my, еrase the watch, remove the watch.

you are supposed to wear it while pairing, try that.
Thanks, I've tried, still won't work. FYI with my old se2020 I could set it up without wearing it.
