iPhone Mirroring selects my old phone despite having gotten a new phone

Hi

I recently upgraded from a 12 pro to a 15 pro after I broke the cameras on it but after setting up my new phone, but whenever I get a notification on my new phone, it doesnt come through on my MacBook until I get the notification on my old phone. iPhone mirroring also selects my old phone (always says 'connecting to iPhone 12 Pro') and I was wondering if there was a way to make my new phone like a primary phone?

Phones run iOS 26.0.1 and my MacBook runs Tahoe.

thanks :)

Go to System Settings > Desktop and Dock > Widgets > iPhone and select the primary device.

Note that if your old iPhone no longer is in use you should remove it from your Apple Account. That can also be done in System Settings > [your name] > Scroll down to the iPhone > Remove from Account.
