My IPhone 14 first shut off at around 20% days ago. I tried to fix it by updating to ios 26.1 and made it even worse, its starting to shut off at 40% how can i fix this? Or is it just an ios issue?

What’s the battery health? 80% or lower? Settings > Battery
That “early shutdown” is a classic symptom of a battery on it’s last legs.
An iPhone 14 - based only on it’s approximate age - is likely “in the window” for needing a replacement.
Or is it just an ios issue?
It is much more likely to be a hardware issue.
When was the last time that you replaced the battery in the iPhone 14?
