iPhone Air audio muffled when gripping phone in landscape

Hey guys,

if I hold my phone sideways for video recording and grip it like shown in the picture, my hand will cover the microphones at the bottom.

The video will then not have any audio because only the microphones at the bottom will be used at normal video recording.

I found out, this happens only when “Stereo” or “3D-Audio” is selected in camera settings.

As a work around I selected “mono” and then ONLY the microphone at the camera is being used for videos. Which shows that it doesn’t use both for stereo recording.

I understand there is multiple microphones at the bottom, but it has to be a conceptional error to only have 1 source of microphones for video recording.

No matter how I grip my iPhone 15 pro, if I completely press my hands around it, it will always capture sound while video recording.

Is this a known error, this has to be a bug.
