How to be reminded about iPhone being in silent mode?

I place my phone on silent. I forget to reset it back. The day goes by with several missed calls! Isn’t there a way to have the phone screen show in large letters or icon that it is on silent?

I see you have an iPhone 15 Pro, so you should see a "bell with a line through it" up next to your clock when your iPhone is in silent mode. If you don't see the icon, you may have disabled it.

You can re-enable it here:

Settings > Sounds & Haptics > in the Silent section, enable "Show in status bar"

Look for a Third-Party App:

There are apps designed specifically to remind you when your phone is silenced, often using location services or timed alerts. An example found in search results is SilentAlert Plus (or similar apps) which claims to alert you:

When the switch stays silent for a specific time.

When you leave the location where it was muted.

On arrival at specific locations.

Note: Check the App Store for the latest and highest-rated options, as app features and availability change.
