JBL headphones not connecting to JBL Headphones app.

The JBL Headphones app can see the headphones and displays it on the screen, but when you tap on it to connect them to the app, it says it cannot connect, JBL thinks it’s either an issue with iOS 26.0.1 or my iPhone 17 Pro Max. I think it a compatibility issue with their app and iOS 26.0.1, but they’re refusing to own the issue and work to fix it.

Both my Sony headphones and my JBL headphones pair fine with the iPhone 17 Pro Max. The problem is the JBL Headphones will not pair with their JBL headphone app. It’s JBL‘s problem, but they won’t accept ownership and fix it. The Sony Headphones pair to my phone and to the Sony headphone app. The only issue I’m having is the JBL Headphones connecting and pairing with the JBL Headphones app not the phone if that works just fine.

Of course Apple will help…for a fee. 😡

Huh? First of all, they have an iPhone 17 Pro Max, so there wouldn't be a fee associated with Apple helping. But Apple doesn't own JBL or their App, so I'm not sure what, if anything, Apple can do if there's an issue with the JBL app. I have no less than 5 Bluetooth headphones paired with my iPhone 17 Pro Max. They all pair and work just fine. But none of them are JBL.
