Repeated location permission requests and disconnected Weather app after iOS update

Since the last update, native apps consistently ask for location permissions. I enable the location services and literally minutes later, it’s asking me again. The weather app has completely disconnected itself from my watch and is no longer a widget option on any watch face.

The weather widget on my iPhone 16 Pro Max (iOS 26.0.1) keeps asking for location permissions. The Weather app, on the same phone keeps asking for it as well. I am granting them the "whenever the app or widget are in use" permissions. This seems to be an ever hour or so kind of thing, and it started sometime this morning. Weather widget isn't showing on my Apple Watch The weather widget isn't showing on my Apple Watch. When I try to view it on my iPhone, it tells me it needs access to my location to display the weather. I set it to "Always Allow My Location," and it does, but after a few minutes, it stops showing it and asks me again to allow it to use my location. This has been happening constantly since today, even after restarting my iPhone and Apple Watch.

Apple Watch Weather app incorrect location The Weather app on my Apple Watch is showing the current location incorrectly. It appears to be only Weather, because on Maps it shows the correct location. If I travel from one place to another, it updates, but when I arrive at the destination, it usually marks some pace along the way and it doesn’t update anymore. Location services are activated. On iPhone the issue doesn’t happen. The watch is an Apple Ultra 2 and the iPhone a 17 Pro Max, both updated to the latest WatchOS and iOS versions. I’ve tried to restart the app and the watch, but with no success. Did someone experience a similar issue, or knows how to resolve? Thanks!

in iPhone, Watch app, My Watch tab, All Watches (at the top) Unpair your watch, then pair again and set up as a New Watch, ie not restoring the backup.

You will only lose your custom faces, your alarms, and a few workout settings.
