Iphone 16 Pro Max - Charging Issue

Hello!

Recently my Iphone 16 Pro Max stopped charging 'properly' - I have had it for at least over a year now with no issues prior.

The port itself seems fine, no debris, water damage etc. Up until a few days ago my phone has stopped charging properly, I have also tried many cables and bought a new one with no luck. Sometimes the charger will also connect like it is charging but the battery level won't go up or if I attempt to use my phone while it is charging the battery level drops really quickly, or it just will not connect and charge at all.

I went and bought a new wireless charger as well. This seems to work however I obviously can't use my phone and it takes hours if not a whole day to charge to at least above 50%.

I am also in the middle in trying to back up my phone and it has been backing up for a solid 48 hours now and still isn't near done, has anyone had this before?

Could there be another issue with the phone?

• A friend had a similar issue a few months back, they were told it could potentially be a motherboard issue which is why the charging port itself isn't working well - I am not too sure if I could have the same issue or if there is anything else I can do?
