Unauthorized subscription charges on iPhone 14 Pro Max

Hi, my name is Christopher, Daniel and Shaw and there are charges that I did not authorize like a subscription and I got billed for it and I didn’t authorize it and I never signed up for it and I never subscribed to it so I was just wondering what is the next step to resolve this, I have no money to pay for it. I am not working at the moment and I know income so I cannot pay for the charge with my card because I don’t have any income I’m not working and I cannot purchase any gift cards to pay the balance that is own and I cannot pay for it in cash because I don’t have any money because as I said, I’m not working. I have no income and I’m not even on Social Assistance so there’s no way for me to pay for the charge. just thought I’d let you guys know.

  • Where are you seeing the charge?
  • Have you identified what the charge is for in your Purchase History?
  • If it does not show in your Purchase History, what is the exact description of the charge you see?
  • Who has access to the Passcode on your device?
  • Did you start a free trial and forget to cancel it?

If you did start a free trial, there is a message on the screen that requires you to double click the side button that says to avoid the subscription charge, you must cancel a day before the trial period ends. That is the authorization and verifies with FaceID/TouchID or Passcode. Cancelling any subscription/free trial managed by Apple can be done here:

If you give the Passcode to your device to someone else, you are responsible for their actions and also have the ability to use Screen Time controls to prevent purchases.

For any purchase in the App Store, you always have the option to request a refund. In most cases all transactions in the App Store are final, but at times Apple may provide a compassionate refund. It should never be expected though.

You can continue to use your device, you will just not be able to use the App Store to download/update any apps until the payment issue has been resolved.

Where exactly are you seeing this subscription?

Why can't you cancel it?

Does it appear on your payment method's statement as coming from "apple.com/bill"?

Did you download an App with a free trial? If so, those generally turn into paid subscriptions unless cancelled.

If this was an App from the App Store with a free trial that turned into. paid subscription follow the steps in the link below to find and cancel it.

You won't be able to cancel the actual charge though, once started charges are legal agreements and must be completed. Until you do, you won't be able to access the store services including downloading free apps or updating existing ones. Once it completes successfully, you can request a refund for it.
